The Brisbane Polo Club was the first club in Australian history to open its doors with its membership list fully subscribed.  Membership has always been offered to men and women. Of its 1500 founding members over one third came from the legal and financial professions.  The Club’s membership then and now also includes men and women from government, the media, the medical and construction professions, industrialists and pastoralists who are prominent in the civic, commercial, financial and social life of Brisbane.  Reciprocal membership with similarly prestigious clubs both nationally and internationally offers a valued service to the travellers among the Club’s membership.
